ABOUT CHESS
The game of chess was invented sometime back in the 15th Century. Of course, back then the game was played on a simple board. The board was (and still is) made up of 64 dark and light squares arranged in an eight-by-eight square. The goal is to protect your King, while trying to capture your opponents King.
Both Kings are protected by loyal armies consisting of eight pawns, two knights, two bishops, two rooks (also called castles), and a Queen. The aim is to capture your opponent’s King by removing their pieces whilst avoiding the capture of your King.

If the game crashes, please try redownloading it from the App Store on your device, or deleting it from your device and re-syncing it from iTunes. Because of the large videos in the game it can take a while to download, which makes it prone to errors in transmission which are beyond our control; this can sometimes interfere with the FairPlay DRM imposed by Apple. What's new in Version 1.0.1
Added autosave feature - a fifth slot is used to autosave the most recent game after each move. You can load from this slot like any other. Unfortunately, this changes the fundamental structure of the saved data, so updating to this version will invalidate any saves you may have. Sorry!
Fixed a bug where the AI would occasionally think until they lost a Timed Game, even on their first move.
Fixed a bug where the game would occasionally break while playing.
